Gratitude Friday...

Well...

So...

Um...

See...

And...

But...

Okay.

Feel caught up?

Right.

Chris has been out this week working with the marching band for "movement camp."

In my head, where all things are awesomely hilarious, I see 346 teenagers crammed into a sweaty, muggy gym.  The girls are wearing neon way-too-short athletic shorts and the guys took the 32 second break between class and band to spray on one last spritz of Ax Body Spray.

And they are all learning how to pirouette.

As with all aspects of life, some of these teenagers are rather coordinated and catch on quickly.

Some of those same coordinated ones are also good at math and read The Great Gatsby for the fourth time before they went to see the movie.

Annoying over-achievers.

Some of them, however, are laughing and making a joke out of the "movement" because they are not coordinated.  And they probably read the Cliff Notes to write a paper on The Great Gatsby.

Annoying under-achievers.

There's a small minority loving every second and doing their best to block out both sides of annoying.

But, that's only what's happening in my brain.  Reality's probably not nearly as fun.

Although the Ax Body Spray part is totally true.

These are the thoughts that go through my head when I'm holding a screaming 10 month old who just had a door slammed in his face and listening to the toddler who is also screaming because she was disciplined for slamming said door in her brother's face.

That's when I think...what exactly is "movement camp?"

Don't deny you think the same thing in moments of crisis.

So I believe this week, today and now tonight, I'm gonna keep it simple and share what Aubrey Kate was thankful for.

1.  Super Why

2.  The Cat in the Hat

3.  Snow

4.  Pirates on her bad list (Veggie Tales)

5.  Peanut Butter bread

No, I have no explanation for #3.

I'll end with pictures because, well, pictures always help me feel better.  They're silent.  And that, friends, is what I am grateful for.  Silence.

Just a man and his purse...

Cool kid...

God made dirt so dirt can't hurt...

Cheeeeeessseeeee....
