Mrs. Eartha came by Wednesday night and gave us the CD of our maternity photos. I just love her. We talked swollen feet, growing bellies, nursery bedding and shopping for maternity clothes.
And I kept thinking the whole time, not that long ago neither one of us was at all certain we would ever discuss any of that. To someone else, it might have looked like we were two normal girls talking about normal soon-to-be-mom stuff. But it was the furthest thing from normal. In reality, we are two infertile ladies who spent years waiting, hoping, praying and crying for a child of our own.
What may seem normal to others, to us was a miracle.
I am so excited for them. I love that her husband, Posty, talks to the belly all the time. I love that they pray for the baby each night before they fall asleep. I love that she’s designing her own nursery theme. I love that they’re not finding out if it’s a boy or a girl.
Without a doubt, I am joyously grateful for their miracle little one! Grateful the Lord provided me with such a wonderful friend to share in this journey. Grateful that when we talk about “normal” pregnancy stuff, we both recognize the true miracle of it all.
And selfishly, I’m pretty grateful she takes fabulous photos! Everyone needs a professional photographer as a friend! Feel free to check out her other photos on her site. Click here.
Have a wonderful weekend!
