Just amazing how much a heart can love.
Anyway, this has been a rather non-traditional Christmas season for us. I did decorate but only a little bit inside the house. No lights on the house. No wreaths on the windows. No Christmas tree. No fabulously wrapped gifts. And fewer gifts.
The busyness is something we cannot seem to shake. No matter how hard we try.
I do spend a lot of time thinking about writing on the blog. And then completely lose motivation because I don’t actually have the time. It’s a viscous cycle. So while I can’t promise there will be lots of posts anytime soon, I can honestly say I have so many wonderful ones planned. In my head. Which is of absolutely no value.
Anyway, here’s my list from last week, plus 3 days!
1. Benadryl – My ob says it’s the most under utilized pregnancy drug out there. I haven’t been sleeping. My nose is runny. And my skin is so dry its itching like crazy. He said two little pink pills could help all that. And he was right. I take them about an hour before I want to fall asleep and somehow by sheer miracle, I sleep for at least 4 or 5 good hours. Then the runny nose returns and I wake myself up snoring. Yes, I am beautiful.
2. Christmas break – Chris is done with school. I am so happy for him. He needs the rest. Although, he doesn’t really “rest”. He’s the energizer bunny so yesterday alone he managed to accomplish 86 little projects I haven’t been able to do in 3 months. But he’s playing golf today. That’s sort of like resting, right?
3. Growing belly – Oh, our little girl is getting big. I can tell because A) I can only see the tips of my toes when I look down and B) she is kicking a lot more. I love, love, love, love, love it. I probably would get more done if I weren’t completely in love with feeling E kicking. After work, I want nothing more than to crawl into bed and let her kick me all night.
4. Stripes 2 – I found another Stripes yesterday! I went in this ridiculously expensive baby boutique. You know the place that sells baby clothes for $75 or more. For a onesie. Yeah. Most of it was way too girly for me. Anyway, at the cash register was a basket of the blankies and there was Stripes. I almost missed him entirely. Now we have two – one for baby to snuggle with and one for Momma to wash clean.
5. Miracle babies – After much prayer, two and half years of waiting, multiple IUI’s, surgery and SA’s too numerous to count, Mrs. Eartha and Posty are pregnant. They saw one little fluttering heartbeat yesterday morning. I am loving having another infertile so close by and now one I can celebrate along side. All of our phone calls are at least 45 minutes and most of the time we talk in circles about how amazing this all is. How great is our God!
Hopefully more to come but please love me anyway if I fail on that.
You look BEAUTIFUL! I hope you feel better, enjoy the extra time with Chris while he is off, and have a very Merry Christmas!
