Christmas is such a special time in the lives of Christians. We are celebrating the birth of our Savior. In such a beautiful and humble manner. One of my favorite verses in the Bible comes from the Christmas story.
And Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart.
How true is that of women? We keep thoughts, emotions, fears, joys and hold them tight in our hearts. While we may share them with others, words never seem to truely express everything we are holding on to. But our Savior knows and He can truely understand.
Today, I am thinking of all the special women in my life who likely have some pretty strong thoughts, emotions, fears and joys they are pondering this season.
Some are missing loved ones, no matter how long ago they left us, the loss is still there.
Some hearts are filled with questions and longing. When, Lord? How? Please give me the strength to wait patiently.
Some are over-flowing with joy and thankfullness as they hold their babies or place a hand on their growing bellies.
Others are wondering what surprises will the next year hold. A little excited anticipation, a little apprehension and a great deal of prayer for guidence.
To all the women in my life, thank you for your friendship, love, support and most importantly your prayers. You are amazing friends who have become part of my family and my family continues to be such special friendships. You are all everyday in my thoughts and prayers. You are some of the treasures I hold close to my heart.
The Lord knows each of our hearts, all the parts of it. Those things we hold dear to us. All those thoughts, emotions, fears and joys we may be pondering. He sees us and loves us enough to leave His own Father and home to be with us. To come and save us.
I love your face!
