And the award goes to…
For her 8 miles this morning and her longest single distance run, Robin!
Oh my gosh! I am so surprised. I honestly didn’t expect to win with all those marathoners out there.
I’d like to thank the Academy of Crazy Morning Runners for this honor.
Shout out to my peeps, Christina, Britney and Pink, for being there with me through every mile.
And you to Water, thank you for showing me how good I could be.
Thank you, Girl Scout Cookies, you know who you are, for giving me that extra something to see the journey through till the end.
And lastly, thank you to my sweet husband who loved me when I was just an unknown underachiever barely hitting 4 miles a day.
Applause. Wipe the tear. Cut to commercial.

And to think I knew her before she even started running. Great job! Maybe I can eventually go from walking to running. BABY STEPS for this 60 (almost 61 year old). Love you. Martha
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Wow! Just water must really work. Got to try that! I knew you when you were complaining to Mrs. May that you did NOT run in gym class in middle school. Sweet Mrs. May, a good friend, let that pass! Can you see Chris letting a student pass if they told him they would not do something? I don't think so! When we tell her now you are a runner, she just smiles! Love you, Mom
