But not a real green dress, that’s cruel…
“We” hosted another event at work last night so I was again, on my feet from about 1:30 pm until 8:15 pm. As I was driving home, I mentioned to Chris that under no uncertain terms and regardless of how much he begs and pleads, we will not be installing marble floors in our home. Ever.
He was definitely disappointed.
Since I knew I would be late coming home, I sent him a blog to do list. See, he is a contributor to this blog called “Our Life” but only includes stuff I write! He’s the silent partner.
The to do list consisted of 2 items: take picture of new painting and take picture of new green dress.
Behold.

Persistence pays, folks. After much searching, gnawing of teeth and pulling of hair, I have located a green sheath dress. Granted it’s not eyelet, but all the other qualifications are dead on. AND, bonus, it had a 4 inch hem that I let out so it would be a little longer.
Now let’s explore the reasoning behind needing this green sheath dress for the vacation:
1. I look good in green.
2. This style is pretty popular. Among women. I suspect men every where hate this look. Shapeless is not what men are looking for.
3. It’s shapeless. Let’s face it. We’re going to an all-inclusive 5 star resort. Any attempt to restrain myself from eating would be pointless. Food will be consumed in mass quantities. I feel certain this dress will come in handy by the end of the week and likely for the next several weeks post-vacation.
