Well, I was playing hostess and wanted to look nice.
That requires new shoes. Of course.
Okay and a new shirt. But that’s not the point.
The shoes are so pretty. They’re black patent leather pointed toe 4 inch spike heels. No self respecting woman trying to look good for Mr. Movie Star would wear anything less. Reminds me of Devil and the “clackers”.
Anyway, I spent most of the morning on my feet. Waiting. I have to say, Mr. Movie Star for some reason was not impressed with my shoes. I’m not sure he even noticed. Can’t blame a girl for trying.
Then for lunch, I actually left the building and since we office downtown, we walked. That afternoon, I walked another 8 blocks to a meeting. 4 there and 4 back. Needless to say, my feet hurt by the end of the day.
Surprise. My ankle also hurts. For two days.
But hey, I got some nice compliments on both my attire and my legs from the other commoners in the office. Not sure it was completely worth it but I bet if you asked me again after my ankle stops throbbing, I’d say yes.
The shoes are being retired after one stellar appearance.
