Miss You Dan...

Dan, well, today is the day. 25 years with your lovely wife. How you managed to convince such a level headed woman in just 29 days to marry you, leave her family to join yours and move to Oklahoma I'll never know. Of course, you know I'm not the only one. We're all amazed. But you did and I believe she's better for it.

You bring spontaneity, laughter, charm and frivolity to an otherwise calculated, processed and analytical woman. She takes care of Governors and CEOs while you take care of her. Sure you may own 67 pairs of socks but because of you she swam with the dolphins. We both know she never would have done that on her own.

Thank you for getting up each morning with her for coffee before her hectic day began. Thank you for all the Friday night pizzas at the end of those weeks. Thank you for going to the dry cleaners and the drug store and Wal-Mart. Thank you for being her cheerleader. Thank you for making her laugh. Thank you for being a father to her children and a grandfather to her grandchildren. Thank you for loving her.

Thank you for allowing Chris and me to become a part of your family. We love you and you are missed. Every day.
