Gratitude Friday...

Well, hello, Friday.  I'm especially grateful to see you today.  Because seriously, you took your sweet time getting here.

So in my monumentally un-busy life (by choice, in case you're wondering), this week was relatively busy.  The allergy attack I had on Friday lasted five full days.  Which means Monday and Tuesday were lost in a haze of whatever drugs I could find in our medicine cabinet.

None of them worked.  Didn't even touch it.  In case you were wondering.

Wednesday, I finally felt semi-human.  Good thing too because Aubrey Kate had school, I had women's bible study at church and Rhys hung out in the nursery.  Naps at home.  A quick dinner of very healthy mac & cheese and then back to church.  We finally got home around 8:00 pm.

All together, we had been in the house, awake, together for a whopping three hours and 54 minutes.  Since those hours included various attempts at eating, that really knocks quality time down to approximately 46 minutes.

I'm telling you right now, I am a spoiled momma.  Because 46 minutes is not enough.

Yesterday, I had a doctor's appointment.  A sweet friend came over to watch the kiddos but the appointment took longer than it should have (darn pharmaceutical reps).  I came home to over-tired littles who had a hard time calming down for sleep.

Today, Rhys has been bizzarely fussy.  After we took Pumpkin to school, we walked around the grocery store for a while.  Came home for a nap.  And then we went back out to window shop at the outdoor mall.  I had no interest in staying indoors with fussy while a perfectly good stroller collects dust in the garage.

Just silliness.

Here's to hoping he wakes up from his nap in a better mood.  But if not, there is a collapsable double stroller in said garage and I'm not above putting it in the car completely upright if collapsing it proves too difficult.

All that (understandably equal parts boring, long-winded and pathetic), to say, my gratitude list is really very simple this week.

Chocolate chip ice cream

It was on sale at Target this week.  And it is keeping me sane.  It served quite nicely as lunch today.  However, the down side is the jeans I discovered actually fit now probably won't continue to do so should I continue to eat it daily.

So I may need to eat it multiple times a day to make sure I finish it as quickly as possible.

Hope y'all can find something, silly or serious, to be thankful for this week!
