Okay, sooooooo...I'm now 32 weeks and 4 days. I had such good intentions. But, well, you know what they say about good intentions.
We were pretty busy last weekend and the entire week before that, Chris was either out of town or working late. Seems silly but when he comes home at 5:30 pm, those two and half hours he can help play with AK are HUGE. Without those, I was just wiped.
This past week was equally as busy. The last week of school is a doosy. Friday was awesome though. Chris was up at school with some of the students having a band hall cleaning day. Aubrey Kate went with him since I had a doctor's appointment. I came back to get her after a whole 20 minutes and she was having so much fun, Chris said the words that made my heart melt, "Go and run some errands! She can stay with me."
Hobby Lobby and Target. All. By. Myself.
I love that man.

The biggest change with the pregnancy is I've started having Braxton Hicks contractions. This week, you could set your watch by them. They hit about 6:30 pm every night. And last until I go to bed. Not painful, just uncomfortable. When they first started, I was really sore the next day. As my doctor said, it's like doing crunches. For hours. But a week later, I'm a little less sore. My body's getting used to them, I guess.
Wish that meant I'd have six pack abs when I left the hospital with Rhys in my arms.

We had our monthly ultrasound Tuesday morning. Rhys looks great! He's up to 4 lbs and 11 oz. He's in the 80th percentile. Way to grow, Little Man! If he stays with the same growth rate, he'll be over 7 lbs at 38 weeks. That seems so huge to me!
Falling into the "not shocked" category is that he's still transverse breech. Has not moved a muscle. The doctor said based on my history and some statistics, it's pretty likely we're headed for another c-section. At this point, about 75% of all babies have turned. There's still time and there's plenty of fluid but...
Oh well.
God knows what I need and I'm guessing He's saving me from myself. I'm kind of a whimp so I suspect natural labor for me might not be a good plan.
My OB and I also think there might be an issue there forcing the kids to be in the same exact position. Literally. He's spine up with his face buried in the back just like Aubrey Kate. I find it amazing they would be in the exact same if there wasn't a physical reason. We just don't know what it is. And since this is our last pregnancy, doesn't really matter. They're healthy and that's the important part!
Maybe we can bring a video camera into the operating room this time. Can't remember much of anything about AK's birth or really, the entire first day. I bet Chris can help video the important parts for me. I don't want to lose this one too.
I'll start having my OB appointments once a week at 34 weeks. They'll hook me up to some sort of monitor for at least 20 minutes each appointment. Looking for a consistent heart rate and activity. It's the joy of being high-risk. My OB said to bring a book because it could take up to an hour depending on how many times he moves off the monitor. Sooooo glad these appointments started after Chris was out of school.

There's also no nursery yet. We do have AK's new big girl room empty and ready for painting. Once the painting is done (fingers crossed for Tuesday), her room should come together quickly. I'm hopeful the nursery bedding will be done in the next week or so. The lady we bought it from is behind due to a large amount of orders. If we're lucky, the bedding will arrive just as we're finishing AK's room.
Had a wonderful maternity photo session with a dear friend this morning. Cannot wait to show y'all those! I got a peak at some and they are so awesome. Totally different from the ones we had with Aubrey Kate. And just me.
Well. Me and Rhys. I'm never really alone these days.
Love. It.
Here's the 32 weeks picture. Heavens, I'm huge. But cute. Right?!?!?!
And for comparison, here's 33 weeks with AK. Again, epic failure at documenting the belly growth last time.
