True confession: I just ate an entire chocolate bar. And dipped each individual square in peanut butter. Twice.
Chill out. Double dipping is okay in my house. We each have our own PB jar. It's our attempt to prevent any cross-contamination of gluten.
So this list is gonna be really short because I am about five minutes away from a very long, hot bath. Throwing caution to the wind and using my big ole bath tub. That means I'll have to clean it but I'm totally pulling a Scarlett O'Hara and worrying about that tomorrow.
1. Grateful I drive approximately 50 miles a week now instead of 45 miles a day. It's kind of fun comparing gas receipts from three weeks ago. Like a game. How high can it go?
2. Very grateful I managed to successfully hide "Chicka Chicka ABC" from Pumpkin. She turned her head and I shoved it underneath the couch. It may take actually moving the couch to retrieve it but I'm in no rush. It was either hide the book or find a coconut tree for me to climb up and hide myself.
3. Grateful Pumpkin has decided she would like to eat her meals topless since the only way I can get her to eat now is to put the plate in front of her and let her play with the food. Sometimes she sticks her finger in her mouth to eat some but the rest of the time she's using it as finger and body paint. And no, I don't know why suddenly her clothes are so bothersome during meals.
4. Grateful Aubrey Kate went on to sleep without much of a fight tonight. It was almost an hour early but she refused to take an afternoon nap. Again, not a stinkin' clue as to why that was. The girl was fussy all day. Not even Target soothed her. Chris thinks he feels a tooth coming in but I've been fooled by that assumption before. You won't get me this time, Teething. I'm on to you.
5. Very grateful for a healthy baby even if she did manage to push every single solitary button possible today. She giggled like crazy when I put her bloomers on my head. And for that moment alone, the day was wonderful.
Look. You spend all day with an over-tired inexplicably fussy baby and tell me you aren't looking for a pair of bloomers to wear on your head.
And now I'm off to watch Say Yes to the Dress and climb into a hot bath where I may or may not eat the other chocolate bar. Ya'll have a great weekend!

Just caught up on your week! :)
ReplyDeleteJaelyn has joined the fight-my-nap club....Lord help us. She went to bed early tonight, too - which is good since it's daylight savings. If you find a way to get your pumpkin to nap, I'd love the tips. LOL
XOXO
Hi Robin! I finally have access to internet and I'm catching up on your posts. Having a blast doing so! I love the way you and Kate write. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSince I don't have internet at home, I will only be on a couple of weeks a month. When I travel. By the way, can't believe I won't see you down here this week. Still doesn't seem real to me. But so very happy for you!
Talk to you soon. Thanks for letting me be a small part of your Grateful Life. I love it!
