Aubrey Kate and I are at home today.
She's sick. Can't you tell?
I took this photo during play time this morning. I swear. She's such a happy baby that it's hard to know if she's sick.
But yesterday after church, she was just inconsolable. For a baby who doesn't cry much at all, it was very strange. Reminded me of those early days during her nightly fussy time. But that was a couple of months ago. Anyway, I finally got her calmed down and she feel asleep in my lap. Later in the afternoon, we gave her some Tylenol and no lie, 10 minutes later she was her usual happy self.
Last night she was up every three hours to eat. Starting Saturday she really hasn't been eating much. Yesterday was pretty bad. And it continued today. She ate 2 oz and then 2 oz. But she was happy. Had it not been for the lack of an appetite I might not have taken her in to see the doctor.
Turns out she has an ear infection and a pretty raw sore throat. No wonder she wasn't eating.
Right now she's taking a hard fought nap. She doesn't feel good and so it's hard to convince her to sleep. I'm hoping she'll sleep a couple of hours. No one gets better without some good sleep.
Poor Pumpkin. It just breaks my heart.
Poor sweet baby! That makes me sad too. I have had a sore throat for 2 days and have been feeling a little pitiful myself, but at least knew what it was & that it would go away soon...and it did not keep me from eating. I will pray for a QUICK recovery for your littel beauty!
ReplyDeletePoor little punkin. Glad you got it figured out quickly. Hope she's better soon.
ReplyDeletePoor little baby...I hope she's feeling better soon!!
ReplyDeletePoor baby! It's so hard to have a sick little one. Thank heaven for Dr's and medicine. Aren't you glad you figured this out. Kiss her for me and we are praying, as always.

Poor Aubrey Kate! Hope she feels better soon! I know it stinks to see her get sick! I always told myself when Noah would get every bug that came through the nursery that it was building up his immune system. He did much better this year :) It is so hard when they can't tell you what hurts.
ReplyDeletePraying that sweet AK is feeling much better!
