During my pillowcase dress obsession, I realized I was operating like I'd been hooked up to an IV of caffeine.
For approximately four days.
Straight.
I imagine this is the way Chris feels all the time.
Gotta love ADD.
And drugs for PPD.
So as I was making my pillowcase dress after the first one failed, Chris came in to check on my progress. I said to him, "It's possible I'm a little manic these days."
My supportive husband put his arms around me, kissed my forehead and said
"I'd comment if I knew what that meant."
Oh. Dr. Evans. How I love you.
With all my new found energy, I am getting a lot done. My house is spotless. The laundry's done. I'm back up to running 15 miles a week. My blog's smokin' with so many posts.
Oh, and Aubrey Kate is getting a lot of attention too. In case you thought I'd forgotten her. I'm doing all the other stuff while she naps. Seriously.
I'm also all about projects. Basically, I'm out to prove you can entirely redecorate a house with Stitch Witchery, an iron and lots of trips to Target.
Last weekend, I was roaming through Target. Have I mentioned I love Target lately?
If you didn't know that about me, you are new here.
Welcome! I'm Robin. I love Banana Republic, Diet Dr. Pepper, Target and long walks on the beach.
Anyway, I saw a shower curtain I looooooovvvvvveeeeeedddddd.
I'm very much over the white on white on white with a little black thrown in there. Remember my redecorated bedroom? Yum. Well, our guest bath was suffering from the same white explosion. I was feeling like after 4 years of whiteness, maybe it was time to add some color. But I wasn't sure which direction I wanted to go until I saw the shower curtain.
My newly ADD mind took that shower curtain and redecorated my bathroom in about 6.4 seconds. So of course I purchased said shower curtain. Raced home, hung it up and realized it was 10 inches short.
Curtains, shower or otherwise, that don't touch the floor make me a little sick to my stomach. My inner HGTV Design Star can't handle it.
10 inches short is just all kinds of wrong.
So this weekend, I went BACK to Target and bought a second one. An hour later, I had a custom shower curtain and towels to match.
Whadaya think?
Amazing what you can do with Stitch Witchery, an iron, some ribbon and lots of energy.
More posts about redecorating to come too. The maniac in me has lots of rooms to redecorate.
Looks AMAZING!!
ReplyDeleteLove it. Can't you please plan a trip to my house for the purpose of redoing by rooms (all except one which y'all redid recently). Still love it by the way. See you soon, tell AK to save some hugs and kisses for her Meme.
ReplyDeleteLove you, Meme
I love it too! Blue and beige rocks. I was in a house this weekend with black, white and the bright green. It looked great. Talk soon. Love, Mom
ReplyDeleteOkay, seriously, I'm so glad I saw this. I just did my first stitch witchery project (it's here http://diyingtobedomestic.wordpress.com/2010/07/19/diy-table-runner/) and am in love! Simply brilliant project.
ReplyDeleteLooks great Robin, just one question. Why could you have not lowered the curtain rod instead of adding an additional 10 inches?
ReplyDeleteIt could have been lowered, as long as you are ok looking out of the top of the shower while you're in it.
ReplyDeleteThat wouldn't happen for some of us. But I know I'm in the small minority of the population. HA! Pun intended. See you soon. Meme
ReplyDeleteImpressive!!
