Sugar and Spice and Queso…

Another week, another appointment. Another ultrasound to look at Little E!

Fortunately, she’s grown! She’s up to 6 lbs 4 oz. That’s some serious weight gain in one week.

I like to give credit where credit is due so shout out to Fuzzy’s Tacos and their queso and chips. We are in your debt.

Chris kept saying over and over how much better he feels with her more than six pounds. He just wants her to be healthy. So sweet.

My fluid levels are down but we checked and I’m not losing any. The checking part was such a joy. I’m thinking a C-section might just be the best thing that could happen for me.

We measured her head and her belly and her legs again. All look good. She’s got the cutest little blurry belly ever. I can’t wait to tickle it.

So the ultrasound tech ended our session by saying it’s highly unlikely she’ll turn and honestly, he believes I wouldn’t want her to at this point. Sounded like it might be a little painful, for both of us, if she decided to turn on a whim.

No thanks.

I did tell the doctor that I haven’t been having any contractions to which he replied with an emphatic “well, don’t jinx it by saying that!” Gotta love that kind of reaction from a medical professional.

But come on. Let’s get real here. Would I know if I was having contractions?

My plan for this weekend is to do about 3 things around the house. And only after I’ve taken a good two hour nap in between tasks.

(Chris has visions of working on the flower beds. I don’t have visions of doing any kind of yard work. Ever. Pregnant or not.)

And I suspect we’ll be making a run to Fuzzy’s at some point. Let’s see if we can get her up to seven pounds by next week!

  2. Nana and I can hardly wait to get out there and get Baby E in our arms. Sandra is already starting to build up her tear supply so there should be plenty available for the birth.

I am glad to see that you have not lost your mind. If you had said that you were wanting to do yard work, I would have known you were becoming unhinged. Never since you have been on this earth have I ever heard you say "I can hardly wait to work in the yard".

    Love you
    Dad
