I'm 5 1/2 Days Old...

Look, that 1/2 day is important. Not entirely sure when I have to stop counting the halves of years but I might just keep on doing it until college (which will apparently be Auburn but we may have to discuss that).

So there.

Alright, now that I've been here five and half days, I've learned some things.

1. Nice try with the wipe warmer but really, I just do not like having my diaper changed. The warm wipe trick wasn't foolin' anyone. You get an A for effort though.

2. I am all for the path of least resistance. You would have thought you'd have figured that out with the whole breach thing. I don't like to do things that are less than comfortable. The formula is just easy. The whole breast feeding thing requires more work. I'm not interested in more work. Keep trying; you never know when it might suddenly become easier for me.

3. Puddin', Meme and Buddy left too soon. That's fewer people around to hold me and I am all about snuggling. The more the better. Ya'll come on back soon.

4. Mommy thinks Daddy is funny. She's always laughing at him. He seems to be running around all over the place while Mommy and I sit tight. He cries a lot when he's holding me too. Mommy thinks that's really sweet but I don't quite get it. He says Amazing and Miracle and Unbelievable to me all the time. Someone will have to tell me what he means by all that one day.

5. I think I'm gonna like it here. The parents seem pretty cool. There's lots of pretty clothes to wear. And plenty of people to love me. I can't really ask for more. So far, I think I'm one lucky little girl.

Hope ya'll will come back to talk with me again soon. For now, I'm gonna get some beauty sleep. Enjoy the pictures! Bye!

  4. Congrats, she's beautiful! And try to hang in there with the breastfeeding. I know it's so hard! If breastfeeding is the way God intended babies to be fed, you'd think it'd be easier! I had a hard time for sure. I'm a believer that formula never hurt anyone though!
(And I love the name! Especially the Kate part!)
