It has just been a beautiful week! After almost an entire month of rain, the sun came out. I haven’t gotten much of an opportunity to be outside but what I can see from my office window, I love!
God is so good to give us both rain and sun. The rainy days challenge us and force us to make a decision every day to praise Him regardless of how bad the storms may be. But after the rain, there is light. It warms us and relieves us. Praises in the sun feels more humbling for me. Such an awesome, powerful, loving God we serve. He is faithful. We’ve had some great reasons for praise this week!
1. Sarah – After 3 IVF’s and 2 FET’s, Sarah and Stuart are pregnant! Her betas have more than doubled! Such an amazing miracle and I can’t wait to follow her journey through pregnancy! Much love to you, Stuart and the baby(ies)!!!
2. Mrs. Eartha – after a couple of months of delays and setbacks, she is ready to start her IVF stim meds! She and her husband, Posty (don’t ask), are such great friends and I could not be more excited to see what God has in store for them. He gave a great sermon last Sunday about finding our full measure of joy. Praising God in all circumstances. And I just got all kind of teary.
3. New Moon – Fanny and I have tickets to see the new movie while she and Mr. Pack are in town. Did you catch that? They’re coming here! Take that agoraphobia!
4. Music Lovers – Was so excited to read your comment Uncle Manson! I am in desperate need of a good 70’s music lesson. E and I took a trip outside for lunch today and listened to 70’s on 7. Heard some Foreigner, Barry White and Stevie Wonder. E got a long lesson on the awesomeness of Stevie complete with the recap of his Cosby Show appearance when Vanessa got to record saying “Robert”. Stevie’s a legend. Looking forward to our Thanksgiving tutorial!
5. Heartbeat – little E’s heartbeat is so easy to find now. I listen most every night. And I can’t get enough. I love hearing the heartbeat move around. I haven’t moved the wand but whoops, the heartbeat’s missing. Oh, wait, it’s over here now. Makes me smile thinking about our little one jumping around in there. It makes me smile even more picturing our son or daughter rolling their eyes one day and saying “Oh Mom” when he or she reads this. Sorry kiddo. Mom is just nuts about you.
Mom. I’m the mom. Just never, ever gets old thinking about that. What a miracle. Have a wonderful weekend! And good luck to MY mom as she tackles another 10K race tomorrow!!!
