Gratitude Friday…
Really, there’s no way to hide the fact that this week was difficult. I would say that Saturday was possibly the hardest day of my life. The sadness hit me so hard and honestly, I felt ill-prepared to handle it. And I know Chris felt equally as lost.
Thank you to everyone who emailed and texted this week. We understand you don’t know what to say and we understand how uncomfortable this can be. But the fact that you did is HUGE.
Congratulations to Leanna, Kyle and little sister Vivi on welcoming the newest addition to their family this week! Bryton is adorable and we are all so grateful for a healthy momma and a beautiful baby boy!!!
Chris is leaving today for spring break with the band kids. Orlando. Now, I’ve done my fair share of long distance bus rides and yes, I even did them in high school but there is no amount of money that would make me do one with high schoolers now. Seriously. Of course, no one actually offered to pay me but I’m just sayin’…
However, I knew when Monday morning came, with very little relief, it was time reach out for help.
So I called Mom.
Thankfully, she is coming to spend several days with me until Chris returns. I’m certain there will be shopping, eating and exercising involved while she’s in town. Not all in that order and likely not in equal amounts. But more importantly, I know she will hug me while we cry together.
Sometimes a girl just needs her mom.
Thank you, Lord, for the gift of mothers and specifically for the precious gift of my mother.

So glad your mom is coming. We're praying for y'all multiple times a day. Love you.

Ditto to Martha's note. We have been so blessed with wonderful moms and moms-in law.

Aunt Cheryl
I hope she brings much needed comfort and peace! We all love you and are praying for you!
ReplyDeleteI wish you and Chris were where we could give you a hug more often, but feel y'all are where God wants you to be. Even though we're separated by distance, know that we continue to pray for y'all daily, for your closeness to God and to each other. Hope Chris has a good trip to Orlando and also that you, Robin, and your Mom have a great visit. We love y'all.Jim
