He’s just that into me…
We had an expensive weekend. I know things come in threes but seriously, I’m ready to be done with dishing out large amounts of cash. D. O. N. E. Done. And really, why do our medical expenses count as only 1 of those 3 items? Since we could have bought a Honda by now, that should count as at least 2 things!
Anyway, we are now the proud owners of a new dishwasher. Ours needed a new something or other that was going to cost almost as much as just getting a whole new one. Then there’s the whole, if we replace this one part, what happens if something else goes wrong? Then we’re out the total cost of a new dishwasher without actually having a new dishwasher. So we visited a couple of places, picked one out, thought about it over night and then purchased yesterday. We’re hopeful they can deliver and install it early this week.
I do have to say I am pretty proud of myself in the dishwashing department. I haven’t let the dishes pile up longer than one day and that one day we ate dinner out so it was only the cereal bowls from breakfast. Not bad. Especially considering I have never, not even in college, lived without a dishwasher.
Yes, I realize I am completely and totally spoiled. But at least I’m grateful!
We did various errands and chores this weekend as well but my favorite part was going to the movies. We saw “He Just Not That Into You”. We got there really early, ordered the largest popcorn ever conceived and sat down smack in the middle of the theatre. As people started to come in, I began to notice they were all women. I know, you’re shocked. So about five minutes before the movie starts I say to Chris,
You get Husband of the Year for coming to this!
He asks why and I point out he’s the only man in the audience.
I secretly wonder how many of those women are totally jealous of me and my outstanding man who will see a romantic comedy with his wife.
Unfortunately, two other men ended up arriving with their wives but Chris still wins because he was the first one there. The other two were dragging their feet.
The movie was really good. I highly recommend it. For both men and women.
However, it wasn’t so good that it made me feel better about buying a new dishwasher. I don’t think there is a movie that good.

Cute new background! I hear that movie is good. Gotta get out to see it sometime! Hope the new dishwasher is all you'd hoped it would be and more! :-)
ReplyDeleteI didn't have a dishwasher for three years of college. A lot of my Wal-Mart dishes got thrown away, but the pots and pans made it to this day.
