Take that Dexa-making me crazy!!!

Wow. What a weekend. We didn’t get home last night until around 8:30 pm.

Thank you race fans for making our ride home an hour longer.

So I didn’t have the energy or the functioning brain capacity to pull the numerous pictures off our camera. Thankfully, in one of my rare moments of genius, I had laid out all my clothes for my workout and for my real job before I left last Friday morning. All I had to do was line them up in the bathroom, wash my face, shoot up and I was off to sleep.

This morning when the alarm went off, I was wide awake. The glories of the time change! I felt so good that got to the gym early. When I came out, there was sunlight. Oh what a wonderful thing to get to work when the sun is shining.

It won’t feel that great when I’m sitting in the dark tonight but I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it.

These are my last few days of exercise. It’s sad. Last week I ran 25 miles and managed to only gain 2 ½ pounds. I’m counting that as a serious victory. I got in 6 miles this morning so I’m hoping I can hit 15 by Wednesday. The exercise is keeping me sane. What happens once that stops, no one can say. I fear for Chris. I think he feels it coming too because he sweetly suggested last night that I ask the doctor again this week. Poor Chris. Self-preservation at its finest.

More to come tomorrow complete with pictures and a recap of our weekend in Missouri!
