Happy Thanksgiving!!!
As I am writing this, I am sitting on my couch with my father-in-law on one side and my husband on the other. My mother is scanning through the sales papers, my mother-in-law is reading, my sister-in-law is working on a project for school and dad is trying not to fall asleep. Mom and I exercised this morning, we made 3 runs to Wal-mart, cooked all day, ate enough for a small army and ended with a women's walk around the neighborhood while the men cleaned the kitchen.
I cannot imagine feeling more blessed or more grateful.
Too often we eat and forget to really say a prayer of thanksgiving to our Lord from whom all blessing come. This week I've said a prayer of thanks for so many wonderful people in my life. My family, my brother, sister-in-law and precious nephew who are not with us today. Linda and Mrs. Skinny who are struggling through this holiday season together. Mrs. JT who is there for me in every way through every step in my life. My boss, my CEO and my company who continue to amaze me. Mr. and Mrs. Fanny Pack who both love us and make us laugh. Mr. and Mrs. Preacher Man who we miss every day. Mr. and Mrs. Southern Belle who we are praying for through this holiday season when they may be apart from each other and their families. Stephanie, my unexpected friend, who walks with me through this journey. And my husband who seems to have an endless supply of love, faith and understanding.
I hope you all had a wonderful day with your friends and family. Thank you for being a part of our lives. We love each and everyone one of you more than we could ever say.
I prayed the whole way to B'ham this morning thanking God for all these little blessings that I tend to overlook and you were on my list as well! I really told Him I was thankful for socks. Appointment went well - I'm about to update my blog with specifics! Thank you so much for your prayers and friendship!
ReplyDeleteWe had a great time at your house. We ate too much but this week I'll get on that. I'm thankful that we all can be together in one house that long. I know we couldn't do that with our parents. We enjoy Chris' family and we both have a loving commitment to the both of you. Love, Mom
