Come on, every body’s doing it…

Well, I’ve finally given in to blog peer pressure and updated the background. Not sure how long it will stay this way but here it is.

And it’s got a ladybug. If you know me at all you know I’m sort of into ladybug stuff. It’s my mother’s nickname for me. Has been for as long as I can remember. She used to call me “Lucy” too but that one didn’t stick. She called my brother “John Henry”. That one didn’t stick either. Not sure where that came from.

This weekend has been rather enjoyable. Here’s a recap:

Friday:

Chris went to play golf after work. He shot a 98 which is his first sub-100 score. He was pretty excited. In case anyone would like to see the score card, we have it. It will likely find it’s way into a scrapbook sometime.

I went out with 3 of the women from my office. It was wonderful. We talked about everything from how certain we all are we sinned watching Justin Timberlake perform at the MTV Music Awards a couple of years ago, to our struggles managing a staff, to which gym is the best. They all drank wine and I watched. I love doing that. I laugh just as hard as they do 1) because the topic was generally funny and 2) because it’s funny to laugh at people who are just past buzzed. Anyway, I felt like part of a team for the first time since I moved from OKC. That was nice.

Saturday:

Chris had a band booster brain storming meeting. This was the second Saturday in a row. Neither of the other 2 directors attended these, so the parents love that Chris was there. Afterward, he went with one of the men to play more golf. Shot over 100 but he still had a good time.

I went to work. I cleaned my office. We’re moving buildings pretty soon so it seemed like as good a time as any. Chris called me and when I told him I was cleaning and he heard “Journey’s Greatest Hits” playing in the background he said, “Oh, this is bad”. And it was. Three trashcans and a box of Clorox wipes later, the office was spotless. I then did the grocery shopping, laundry, cooked a fabulous dinner, if I do say so myself, and just hung out with Chris watching “National Treasure”.

Sunday:

Today was our third Sunday in a row to go to a movie. After lunch at McAlister’s, we saw “Wall-E.” Pretty cute. We then went to Linen’s N Things to get the chairs I’d put on hold earlier, Golfsmith to get Chris’s clubs re-gripped and then back here.

All in all a nice weekend. Not overly busy but productive and relaxing. I’m definitely looking forward to this week and especially a long weekend.

Maybe I’ll spend some more quality time updating the look of the blog. You never know. Once you take that one hit, you’re hooked.

  1. Look at you with your cute background! (I'm not totally convinced I'm going to stick with mine, either.) You go with your bad self. :-)
