"Let the little children come to me…”

On Sunday, our family gathered to celebrate my nephew’s dedication. Hannah declared she would give her son to the Lord before she ever conceived. As Christians, I believe we all do so. This is the public commitment of that promise. Noah is being raised by two Godly parents who’s deepest desire is to see their son come to know the Lord. As his family, we all share in the responsibility as well. We will pray for Noah but we will also pray for his parents, his grandparents, his other aunts and uncles, his future siblings, cousins and friends. They will all play a role in Noah’s life journey. Chris and I feel so blessed to be Noah’s aunt and uncle.

When my brother first called me to say they were heading to the hospital, a rush of nervousness and love swept over me like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. I immediately regretted I could not be there for his birth and every day since I am sad to be apart from him. I hope he’ll still feel we are a part of his life. I pray that like his dad, he’ll one day call me “Bobbin” as I tickle him with my hair. I hope he’ll know he is always welcome in our home and that we will never make him eat green beans. We love you Noah and thanks for letting us be with you on your special day.

  1. It was so wonderful to have you both this weekend. It flew by to quickly. That Saturday while we were running errands reminded me of so many Saturday's we spent together, it was an absolutely beautiful morning. It was so great to have all our children with us for that weekend.
