Progression of Precious...

Every year, Aubrey Kate's preschool has school pictures taken.  Parents must be buying these if they keep doing them.  But with the smallest package costing $29 (going up to $150), that seems a bit crazy to me.  

Every year, Aubrey Kate fights getting her picture taken.  I just so love hearing the teachers telling me how they had to pry her arms open and bribe her to smile.  Makes my heart happy (sarcasm font).

This year's bribe was letting her hold "Emma" during her picture.  Pictures were on a Wednesday which is her Show and Share day.  The letter of the week was "E" thus Emma.  Considering how frustrated her teachers seemed in even the retelling of the story, I was shocked to see how amazing her pictures turned out.

I think Emma makes them even more adorable.

Four and a half years in and she still takes my breath away.

These are her first pictures from Two Year Old Preschool.  In true first-school-pictures-ever fashion, she had fallen...flat on her face...just a few days earlier.  Y'all may remember the story but in case you haven't filed away all our fabulous life episodes, here's the scoop.  

So bless her, it's my fault her first pictures were oh so memorable.  

But really, she was totally precious with her scratches.  And, let's be honest, these make the best pictures for those Senior graduation slide shows.  Amen?

Last year, Aubrey Kate was ALL KINDS OF THREE.  Unhappy, ornery, NO, NO and NO, with a side of I DON'T WANT TO.  

Good times.

I swear, Webster's people need to include this picture as part of the definition of "stubborn."

Her teachers worked hard, they confessed, to get a smile out of her but this was as close as it got.  

True confession, these proof pages are gonna end up in a scrapbook layout all it's own.  There's not way these go away.  Don't care one bit there's PROOF written all across it.  

They are and she IS simply too precious to let them go.
