Aubrey Kate started three year old preschool today.
And wanted everyone to know it.
She walked into her classroom and proclaimed...
"I'M HEEERRRREEEE!"
I so wish there was a "Drama" font.
In response, I turned 29 shades of red.
Well. Here she is. Good luck. And you're welcome.
Let's hear it for three year old preschool!
She shockingly asked to have her pictures taken this morning. Chris and I were taking bets. Which really was a bad idea since both of us were betting she totally wouldn't let me take her picture.
She got so excited she wanted to move to different spots. With two people, that would have been totally awesome. With just one, I spent most of the time chasing Rhys down. He loves to run into the street.
Here are my Little Sassafrass' favs as we start the 2013-2014 school year:
1. Book - Year two, the Bible wins. It's the only book she wants to read consistently. She'll cycle through other books but the Bible never cycles off.
2. Food - Again, year two, Mac & Cheese. I'm cooking this for dinner tonight. She'll freak. It's a special treat. Although, watch out, Goldfish are making a push.
3. Song - "Let It Be Known" is hangin' around as the summer long fav. (I'm kinda over it but shhhh...don't tell my children.)
4. Activity - Playing with her pizza. Her godmother, Mrs. JT, gave her a Melissa and Doug felt pizza set for Christmas. Heaven help us, that girl LOVES her pizza. She takes it into her room for "quiet time" and feeds pizza to all her animals. For two hours.
5. TV Show: Total tie between "Pocahontas" and "The Little Engine That Could." She'd watch those all day every day. Oh! And Dora.
6. Toy: Um...still the pizza.
This is gonna be a big year. She'll learn to write the alphabet. I can't even wrap my brain around her writing. Besides the fact that she's left-handed and I don't even know how to teach a left-handed writer. So glad someone else will be doing that.
And yes, just to keep it real, I cried. But not until I picked her up. Something about seeing her made me realize how much I had missed her. I tell her that all the time, every time I pick her up from somewhere. I missed you, Aubrey Kate!
Sometimes she'll even ask me if I missed her.
Well, no. You just went to the bathroom. I was good for those two minutes.
After we got home and I put Rhys down, she asked me, "Momma, do you wanna snuggle?"
Ummmm...YES!!! I ABSOLUTELY WANT TO SNUGGLE!!!!
I have no idea where she gets her bigger than life personality from.
No idea.
She is a character! Our character:-) I'll snuggle anytime Aubrey Kate!
