Happy 10 Months!
And two days. Because I cannot seem to keep track of exactly what day it is.
Momma fail.
Well, we have hit the point where Homeboy has no interest in sitting still. He would much rather play with Aubie and attempt to topple head first off the bed.
Even sister couldn't get him to smile. Or look at the camera.
I included the action photos. As proof. Not that anyone would question me but it just makes me feel better to have evidentiary support (Thank you, Legally Blonde.)
Did you catch all those? Like, he looked everywhere but at the camera. Dude.
Since it's only been two weeks since he saw the doctor and got his stats, I'll let those stand. I feel pretty certain he hasn't grown all that much. He's heavy though. I have had to ice my elbow...no, seriously... a couple of nights after picking him up all day long. I'm giving myself tennis elbow picking him up.
A reputured uterus and tennis elbow. This boy has years of kisses and hugs to make up for my physical trauma.
The real news is...
He's not walking.
Thank you. (bowing) Thank you.
He totally could be if, say, I encouraged him to do so. Like held his fingers while he walked or let him push the train around to practice. But I don't.
It's not an absolute conscious choice as much as it is, we simply don't.
He's a really happy guy (unless he's teething) and still an excellent independent player. This morning he played while I ate breakfast, emptied the dishwasher and folded a load of laundry. All before AK woke up. He was just content to play. Pulled out toys from his toy bag in the living room. Crawled around the kitchen making sure everything was as he left it. And then started getting toys down from the shelves in the playroom.
Happy guy.
Speaking of teething...he was doing that last week. He got up at least once every night. Somewhere around 3 am. I was so exhausted. Chris was gone most of the week too with concerts and meetings. He came home yesterday afternoon for a break between marching practice and going to the symphony. I took a nap. A three hour nap. It was bliss.
But he's sleeping again and much less fussy.
Of course, I say that and he'll wake up six times tonight.
Oh well.
He is eating much better. And he's decided he loves Puffs. Still eating six bottles a day and now three meals a day too. I haven't tried more finger foods though. Well, except blueberries. Those he just smashed. That'll be a goal this month. More finger foods!
As for new skills, he is now throwing a ball. And flippin' loves it.
Went swimming for the first time today and did not love that. But he got used to it eventually. He doesn't really have a choice. Sister loves playing in the pool and it's not like he's gonna hang out inside by himself.
He can also roll his tongue. Like "Rrrruffles have rrrridges" kinda rolling. It. Is. Fabulous. Chris has a video but I haven't gotten it yet.
Enjoy the pictures from the past two weeks! There's a lot, I realize. But he's just that cute.

I swear he gets cuter every day! Happy 10 months to your sweet little man! And Mama, don't feel bad at all about the walking..my son didn't walk til his first birthday exactly, and I don't know one little boy who walked sooner than that - most walked later;)
