Gratitude: Photographers...

One of Aubrey Kate's favorite activities is looking at pictures on the computer.  Top two events are "pictures I was born" and "beach."

We start a little slide show for her and she generally tells us which song she wants to listen to while we watch.  Lately it's been, "Saturday In the Park" by Chicago.

And yes, we totally sing that on our way to the park.

Makes my heart happy.

No lie, watching the slide shows with her is not a bad way to spend four minutes.  Both those events rank right up there as two of my all time favorite times.  The birth of our daughter (and the pictures of the following four or five months) and our big family vacation last summer.

We have our six month family photo shoot scheduled with Mrs. Eartha in January.  To say I've been going a little crazy planning would be a gigantic understatement.   

Crazy like I've bought Rhys a turquoise polka dot bow tie and a grey cable knit newsboys cap.  

Can. Not. Wait.

As I look through the pictures of our little family over the last several years and plan for those coming up, I am simply blown away by how many unbelievably precious moments these fabulous women have captured and find myself unable to sleep sometimes thinking about the moments to come.

We are very blessed...in oh so many ways...because we know so many amazing photographers.

How amazing is our God.  How wondrous He is to give these women such unbelievable talent.  I see these photos and I think, these precious women...created in His image.  He sees such beauty where sometimes we see everyday dull drums.  He sees the quiet smiles and delights in our joy.  He sees our young lives and knows the exact details of every day we will live in this world.  

Thank you, Father, for giving us such talented women.  Oh how you love us.
