Gratitude Friday...

Yep.  Still pregnant.

I would love to tell you if I'm making any progress but I don't know.

Why, you ask?

Because after waiting 90 minutes for my sonogram, my doctor had to go to the hospital for a delivery.

Really, 90 minutes at 38 weeks pregnant and a full bladder should be classified as torture.  I spent the last 10 minutes standing up in the waiting room because hello, everything hurt.

I got skipped.  That's the only explanation.

And I wasn't very happy about it.

So here we are, after another day and night of what is apparently "false labor".  Very sore.  Tired and no baby.

I feel like this is my first pregnancy since I never experienced any of this with Aubrey Kate.  Breech meant no real pressure, no sore belly and no body getting ready with "false labor."  Were it not for the toddler at home, we would have been darkening the doors of the hospital frequently.

The nurses don't realize what a blessing Aubrey Kate is to their lives.

But here's the good news, and what I am most grateful for this week...

Nana.  Is.  Here.

Praise the Lord!!!!

If Rhys decides to come now, Aubrey Kate is covered.

Although with a couple of episodes of false labor under my belt, I will likely be more hesitant to say THIS IS IT than I was before.

My plan until he does come (or we hit our scheduled induction day) is to spend lots of time watching Aubrey Kate and Nana play, work on my beach scrapbook, rest and soak of every last second of feeling Rhys moving and kicking.

Thank you, Lord, for family, for precious Aubrey Kate and for our miracle boy, Rhys.  We are humbled and amazed.

  1. I went in once with false labor....it is hard to tell. The real labor was more intense and so uncomfortable and very regular. But every woman I know has a different labor story! I just want your doctor to be on call and to have the delivery you have been praying for!
