What a week, huh? Don’t know about you but I’m feeling a little emotionally wiped. Topped off with a heaping helping of mentally numb.
Really.
Very much looking forward to tonight after Pumpkin goes down when I will be engulfed in the non-mentally or emotionally draining tasking job of rolling diapers for three diaper cakes I am making.
Okay, well, two full ones and then three mini cakes (and that’s my “Keeping it real” moment for today).
Rolling diapers is kinda like a spa day. Minus the whole stranger touching you thing.
I plan on watching monumental amounts of mindless TLC programming, sipping on some Cherry Coke Zero and rolling diapers.
Awesome.
So since I am one massive life decision away from my own padded cell, jello and a coloring book, I’m keeping my gratitude list short this week. With very little explanation although really, these things don’t require much in the way of deep analysis.
1. Waving Bye-Bye – Yep, we’re doing it and it is the cutest thing ever.
2. Antibiotic shot – Pumpkin got one last Saturday. Like magic that thing was.
3. Catalogs, Paper Plates and Cups – My kid’s favorite things. Cheap. Abundant. And recyclable.
4. Email – It rocks. Seriously. Like a lifeline. New one – the.evans.life@gmail.com – but don’t get your hopes up on me checking it rather frequently until post February 4th. Just a warning.
5. Prayer Warriors – you know when you send up a flare and ask for some prayers and you get the same bible story back from different sources, you gotta figure God’s talking to ya. He doesn’t always speak in one word action verb sentences. Sometimes He uses the coolest girlfriends on the planet to tell you what He needs you to hear.
Ya’ll have a great weekend!

Thanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog - your little girl is absolutely precious too!! And on your recent life decision, hang in there - remember God has an awesome plan in store for you:) I know following His will can be super-scary though. I'm continuing to pray for you.
ReplyDeleteAnd being a SAHM is THE BEST!! The only advice I have is to 1) Enjoy this time because it's so precious and fleeting (as I'm sure you already know;)) and 2) Make sure to surround yourself with people who love you and love your child so you don't become too isolated. I've seen that happen and have heard it's easy to do. You're gonna do great!
I have an award for you on my blog.
