Wasn't Chris sweet to post that message on Monday?
Honestly, until Mom called just as I pulled into work that morning, I'd totally forgotten. I was thinking about my run, my new sweater, our Sunday School class, the to-do list before our family arrives Saturday, Pumpkin's dress for baby dedication which still hadn't arrived in the mail and maybe a little football thrown in there because seriously, Auburn is gonna have to play four full quarters of football on Saturday to beat the Hogs.
Here that boys. All. Four. Quarters.
Our weekend had been so nice that it felt like we'd celebrated already. We went to the Pumpkin Patch on Saturday morning. Resistance to the ridiculous cheesiness of having Pumpkin with pictures in a Pumpkin Patch was futile.
But she wasn't all that enthralled. One, she's too young to do anything other than sit next to a pumpkin and two, there was too much for my nosy little people watcher to see. She was distracted by all that.
Regardless, we managed to get a few good pictures. Chris was there to make her smile. Had it just been me, the pictures would have been a lot less cute.
I'm not as funny as Daddy.
So after the Patch, which took all of 30 minutes max and that included a feeding in the car, we went to the outlet mall. We were already in Grapevine and I needed black pants that fit.
I haven't reached my pre-infertility weigh goal yet but I am so close I can taste it. Some of my smaller pants are still a little tight (which I cannot stand. Can. Not.) but my bigger size is way too big. Basically, I'm between sizes.
But I knew the Jackson pants at BR would fit like a glove. And they do. I don't even have to try them on. Which is good since Aubrey Kate was not at all in a mood to shop.
The rest of the afternoon was spent watching football and doing chores. It was blissful.
Sunday Chris bought me a pair of earrings to match a pearl necklace he gave me a while ago. I love them. I love him.
All in all, a wonderful weekend to celebrate being 34.
Mid-thirties. Oh well. One day, Aubrey Kate's teacher will tell her how sweet it is that her grandparents came to see her end of the year program. We'll just go ahead and add that on to the list of things she will be embarrassed by when it comes to her geeky parents.

Although I suspect at the top of the list will be years of pictures posted on a blog of Pumpkin in a Pumpkin Patch. Oh yeah, I feel a tradition coming on.
