Band. Is back.

Therefore…

Chris. Is gone.

From now until sometime in November.

And I am sad. If Aubrey Kate understood the concept of time, she would be sad too.

However. I am also super excited.

Why? Because I get to spend time with my daughter ALL BY MYSELF.

Is that the most totally selfish thing you’ve ever heard?

Very likely. I own it.

I mean I love Chris. Love, love, love, love, love him. And I love watching him with our daughter. She lights up like a Christmas tree when he plays with her. Seriously. It’s absolutely adorable.

But we need some Mommy and Me time. I’ve missed playing dress up and having our photo sessions. I’ve missed our talks about decorating while we look through the Pottery Barn catalogue. I’ve missed our time outside learning about God’s world that He created for us.

I feel 114% certain that it won’t take long before we are both missing Chris something fierce. For now, though, I’m going to enjoy our girl time. There are lessons to be learned. Music to dance to. Books to be read. Snuggling to be done.

So put your hands up and say oh, oh, oh, oh…cause the Single Ladies in the Evans’ household are ready for some fun!
