Totally forgot to share...

Last week, the First Lady asked me about the nursery. At which point I remembered that I'd totally forgotten to post pictures of the final nursery. I hadn't done it before AK's arrival because we weren't sharing her name and her initials are on the wall.

So ya'll know I collected vintage fabrics for years for the bedding. I found this one pattern from the 40's that I really loved. Every time I would see a piece, I'd buy it. We found some pieces online too and Mom had bought those for me for Christmas one year. But with all I had, it wasn't really enough so last Christmas, Mom and I went shopping at an antique mall in Birmingham. Southerns love fabric. And this place was full of it. We walked out with a bed skirt, a yellow gingham duvet and shams, a table cloth in my favorite pattern and one hot pink chenille pillow sham.

Now we had all the fabric we needed. A friend from church suggested a lady in town who could put it together for me. And the final product is just beautiful. Honestly, I LOVE the way the nursery turned out. It's not exactly what I had envisioned...because it's better. I never get tired of going in there.

Mrs. Eartha took some photos of the room for us during our newborn shoot. I love these pictures. I especially love how tiny Aubrey Kate is on the changing table. Sweet little girl. Enjoy!
