Happy Mother's Day weekend! Hard to believe it's been a year since I stood in church singing "Lord of Eggies and Sperm". I was not at all certain I would ever be a mother. That assurance came at the end of May last year when I just knew.
Sort of like the moment someone accepts Jesus and is saved. I knew that I knew that I knew I would be a mother.
Didn't know if that would be through IVF, embryo adoption or traditional adoption. Chris and I were open to any way God chose to grow our family.
During this week, I have been thinking about all of those ways. Thinking about what a blessing each one is. And what a miracle. All around are examples of each of these miracles. Some are pregnant after years of trying and waiting. Some are going through the adoption process with great joy and excitement. Some are praying and preparing for more infertility treatments while opening their hearts to what the Lord has planned.
All of these women are Moms in the making.
This week, I am so grateful for each way the Lord creates families. What an amazing God we serve.
