Whew. I thought this day would never get here. Our big fund raising campaign finale party was today.
And I'm slap worn out.
The party was a big success. With a few glitches. But I'm totally blaming that on our campaign chairwoman who had the nerve to schedule her honeymoon and wedding the week before this party. She left us high and dry.
Okay, so not really all her fault. Just most of it.
Seriously, though, the party was great. And it's even greater that we raised money for a good cause.
Only 364 days until next year's party.
Since last year I was a Roaring 20's Flapper, I decided to stick with the decade theme. What do you think?
Personally, I think I'm pretty darn cute. If I do say so myself. Although someone commented that it was really cute of me to come dressed as a pregnant teenager. Not really what I was going for.
Thank you Lord for generous givers who donated their time, energy and money so that others could have a meal, a safe place for kids to go after school and shelter when there is none.
Have a great, and safe, Halloween weekend!
Hehehe! Pregnant teenager. Dang I wish I had thought of that first. That is funny.
ReplyDeleteCute! Why not go to the door tomorrow night as a pregnant teenager and be an example to girls everywhere.
ReplyDeleteRegretfully, it probably won't shock them at all!
Love You! Mom :)
Pretty darn cute, for sure! Love it :)
ReplyDeleteYou don't even look pregnant! (You'll be happy about that with your second child. :) FYI, I was a VERY pregnant pilgrim this year, and everyone thought it was pretty funny considering Craig was an indian and Jack a turkey. :) Glad to see things are progressing well. We love you guys and still pray for you! Give our love to Chris! - Amy Aarhus
