The cutest little boy in the whole wide world visited his Aunt Robin and Uncle Chris this week. He got to see some cool stuff, learned a few tricks and added to his vast vocabulary. He learned "Chris", "mess" and "pool".
But despite everyone's best efforts, he never learned "Bobin". Not even close. I mean we really gave "potato" the old college try and for some reason he's taking to someone named "Bobby" that everyone seems to be clueless about but saying my name, that wasn't gonna happen.
Carrie: Can you say Robin?
Noah: That.
Which, it should be noted he says endlessly. Sometimes in the form of a question and sometimes in the form of a statement. And then still sometimes as a demand. You get the picture. Robin is not "that".
Oh, little Noah. I cried walking out of the airport today. I miss you so much already. And I love you more than you'll ever know.
Even if you can't say my name just yet.
Well Robin, don't dispare. He hasn't come close to Puddin either, but he can say turtles. Go figure. Love him anyway.
ReplyDeleteI tried to get Noah to say "Robin," but every time I say, "Can you say Aunt Robin. Robin. Rahhh-bennn," he says "Chris." So, I think for now you should be Aunt Mrs. Chris Evans. Just kidding.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got to spend some time with Noah. I hate that you teared up. If it makes you feel any better, he was probably crying about the same time.
