Happy Birthday Chris!

Today, my sweet husband turns 32. Finally. He holds those 4 months he’s younger than me over my head the entire time. So today I decided to write a list of 32 reasons why I love my man (and those 4 months are not on there).

1. He makes me laugh. Always has.
2. He knows all the words to every old school DC Talk song.
3. He gives great hugs
4. He’s a great money manager which means I never worry about our finances. That’s huge.
5. He does all the yard work and even plants flowers to make it pretty
6. He’s the hardest worker I know
7. He sets goals and then works to achieve them
8. He cares about the kids he teaches
9. He loves sports as much as I do
10. He’s a fabulous dancer
11. He’s supportive of whatever crazy dream I have…today
12. He’s not a fighter, meaning we rarely fight. We discuss but not fight.
13. He gets embarrassed when people make a big to do over him.
14. He’s easy to please in the dinner department
15. He tries to teach the kids life lessons along with music
16. He doesn’t let my fears or weaknesses get in the way of following where the Lord leads him
17. He’s grateful for the blessings in our life
18. He continually works to be a better husband
19. He thinks I’m pretty (selfish one I realize)
20. He’s extremely organized
21. He works ahead in his job always thinking about what will be coming up so he can be prepared
22. He seeks out guidance from other directors which means he’s smart enough to know he doesn’t know it all
23. He smoked his comps for his doctorate!
24. The parents adore him
25. He’ll do whatever chore I ask and usually right away
26. He watches American Idol with me even though he’d rather be playing a video game
27. He doesn’t complain about his wife the way men often do. Marriage is not a joke and he won’t make it one.
28. He’s made tremendous sacrifices in our attempt to have a child and has never complained
29. He’s a good listener and never tries to “fix” anything but just listens and asks questions
30. He participates in day dreaming with me which I think so many couples don’t do. They never talk about their dreams or hopes or wishes. We do that a lot and I honestly believe that keeps us much closer
31. He sleeps like a five year old little boy – hard and totally out of it.
32. He makes me want to be a better wife for him
